Near Market Street and Van Ness Avenue Tuesday night, a knife-wielding suspect kicked in the door of one unsuspecting man's apartment and attacked him while he was watching TV. According to Bay City News, the 30-something male suspect barged into the apartment on the first block of 12th Street, drew a knife and cut the 52-year-old victim several times before taking off into the night.

The suspect had not been found as of Wednesday morning. The victim, meanwhile, was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive the lacerations to his neck, shoulder and hand. SFPD spokesman Albie Esparza said the department had no other details as to why the bad guy felt compelled to barge in and go berserk like that, but if we had to guess drugs are involved in this somehow.
