You know, we kind of like this ranked voting thing. And not just because it saves us from run-off campaigns which tend to drag the election cycle out longer than a plot-line on "Lost." It's because it's like a Special Olympics type thing in that everyone wins! If you vote for one guy, you can still put all the other one's down and not feel bad about choosing one over the other.

This election was a bit of a surprise because Chan, a former police commissioner, had the big name and the endorsements but the guy in the lead, Ron Dudum, is more conservative and not Asian, meaning a victory for him would mean no Asian Supervisor for the first time in 25 years. As for Jew, a community activist, SFist is kind of wishing he'd stay for a little bit longer only because of all the great headlines we could write, like "Jew Votes for More Police" or "It's the Running of the Jew," or "Jew Loves Wagner."

Either way, final tallies are expected sometime today. Probably just as we post this.
