What Twitter employees will lack in $5 foot-longs, they'll more tham make up for in $48 roasted chicken with bread salad. Which is to say, Twitter ilk will hurl chunks of their earnings at Zuni Cafe, located at Market and 10th, once they relocate to the Tenderloin. And for whatever reason this is subscription-required news. Wall Street Journal reports the obvious: "Twitter Inc. is expected to relocate its headquarters in the middle of next year to a few blocks away from Zuni's sun-washed space, bringing well over 1,000 employees to the area. '"It will be great,' said Zuni chef and co-owner Judy Rodgers. 'For so long this was such a shaky, edgy part of town.'"

Hillary Clinton Spotted Hitting the Sauce Again
As we mentioned, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in town yesterday to give a speech before the APEC at the Westin St. Francis. This morning GrubStreet reports the former First Lady was spotted having drinks with dinner ar Zuni Café last night. The tipster writes of Mrs. Clinton: "she was super friendly... She drinks whiskey sours. Weird right?"
Cyclists Being Pulled Over By Cops Today
We're receiving a report of cops cracking down on cyclists running red lights and issuing tickets. The report comes from near Zuni at Van Ness and Market, and multiple cyclists have received citations in the last hour or two. Perhaps another way of beefing up the revenues of the SFPD, or a new phase in Gascon's quality-of-life campaign. Be wary out there, bikers! Traffic laws apply to you too!
Former NYT Food Critic of Note Disses Zuni's Roast Chicken Bread Salad
If San Francisco had an official dish -- which, by the way, it should -- Cafe Zuni's Roast Chicken with Bread Salad could be it. The medium-sized bird quickly seared/roasted in a scorching hot oven and accompanied by a salad dotted with soaked bread is stuff of lore. But visiting New York City dignitary Frank Bruni, former food critic, who recently supped at Judy Rodgers' bistro, has this to say about the famed dish: "The Zuni chicken: as sublimely moist and flavorful as ever. But not sold on the 'bread salad.' Oddly shaped clumps of flinty dryness."
Zuni Shuttering?
Heavens no. Though, what with its windows covered in newspaper, some you might have thought as much. Thankfully, Judy Rodgers' near-perfect ode to slow, simple, artisan dishes will not fall to the same fate as fate as Jack Falstaff. According to Eater, Rodgers is simple taking a few days "to do some renovations, and from the looks of things, there's some heavy-duty construction at work." Zuni is scheduled to reopen next week.
