OMG! Ricky Reed, of Wallpaper. fame, is missing. Gone! Completely vanished. Unfortunately, his stellar world tour has now been cancelled. Fans are riotous with the news. The far reaching world tour included stops to Tanzania, Tucson and Tokyo. We even heard Wallpaper. was venturing to Antarctica and the Vatican City to make sure he reached every last fan.

This Week in Le Rock: May 12 - 18
First off, we're sorry we missed last week's music offerings - Wallpaper, Eric Hutchinson and The Trucks - but we're back. A lot has happened in just one week. First off, New Kids on the Block debuted their newest single, "Summertime" with the announcement there's going to be a tour and new album. Frankly, from what we've heard, it's not that bad. Actually it's kinda good in a pop-ish, upbeat "summer" hit kind-of-way. Madonna also announced that she will be bringing her "Sticky and Sweet" tour to Oakland on November 1st. You better make sure you get your tickets fast!
This Week in Le Rock: Mar 24 - 30
Though Friday night is where it's at, Thursday night's highly anticipated Justice show will rock as well. (Justice did just win the Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Album.) Following the concert, you can head over to popscene, where they will be dancing the night away with popscene's very own DJ's: Omar, Aaron and Nako. You'll definitely be in the mood to D.A.N.C.E.
SFist Reviews... Wallpaper
Saturday night we had the pleasure to watch one of Noise Pop's most intriguing local acts: Wallpaper. We interviewed Eric Frederic - the man behind it all - earlier in the week and had even listened to his new EP, T REX on his MySpace page but we had no idea it was going to be that much fun. We were on such a high from Wallpaper's set that we didn't want to ruin it so we left early and missed Immigrant and headliner, Panther.
Getting to Know: Wallpaper
Wallpaper, a sweet/sleazy duo from Oakland will be serenading the head-bopping Noise Pop fans at Rickshaw Stop on Saturday night. They will be opening for the hipster-loving band, Panther. Wallpaper's infectious electronic sound can be heard on their new EP, T REX that will be digitally released in late April. You might file their EP between Prince and MSTRKRFT - quite an adventure. We touched base with the lead singer who answered (quite humorously) our very important questions in sometimes his own language. He ends up being a major slut with a nightmarish vendetta against a "crotchety old republican." If that's you, you better watch your back! He's ready to strike.
