<p>-- A 19-year-old woman was shot -- "<a href="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/11/20/BAGTTFMAS.DTL">in the back today...at 5:39 p.m.</a>" Huh?-- during an attempted street robbery in SF's Visitacion Valley. Attacked at Velasco Avenue and Santos Street, she is currently at SFGH and listed in stable condition. And the two suspects? Are still at large. </p>

<p>-- UC Berkeley journalism student Kevin Jones, 27, "<a href="http://cbs5.com/local/halberstam.crash.plea.2.591864.html">pleaded no contest today</a> to a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter" in the death of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and writer <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Halberstam">David Halberstam</a>. Halberstam was a passenger in Jones' car when he ran a red turn arrow into oncoming traffic, according to prosecutors  on the Bayfront Expressway in Menlo Park, near the Dumbarton Bridge. (And it's not even Halloween yet. Jumping the gun a bit, yes?)</p>

<p>The first shooting, smack dab in <a href="http://sfist.com/2007/03/07/more_police_walking_the_streets.php">Visitacion Valley</a>, occurred around 10:45 p.m. last night, wounding two. The two victims received non-life threatening wounds.</p>

<p>The second bout of gunfire, on Third Street and McKinnon Avenue in the Bayview, happened about an hour later, sending a 25-year-old man to the hospital. His wounds, sadly, are considered life threatening. </p>

<p>Much to no one's surprise, "no arrests have been made" as of today. </p>
