Have you forgotten how to use an umbrella? It's pretty hard!

Luckily for our drought-addled brains, KRON 4's Stanley Roberts is on it. In a new People Behaving Badly segment, Johnson explains the fundamentals of umbrella etiquette, because god knows we'll need it.

Roberts' tips are really handy. Here they are:

1. If your umbrella has a golf logo on it, it's too big.

2. When you're walking on a crowded sidewalk with other umbrella-toting pedestrians, be mindful of not poking anyone's eyes out. Whoever's the tallest in the pack should hold their umbrella up the highest.

3. Don't text and umbrella!

4. Share one umbrella if you can.

5. When you're indoors, keep the pointy end of the umbrella angled down. As Roberts says, "Life is not a game of joust when you're walking around." He's so right!

6. The carpet in BART stations is not only to wipe off your feet, but acts as a little pad on which to shake out your umbrella.

7. This one seems like a no-brainer, but: close your umbrella once you get indoors! Not only is it a nuisance, but it's bad luck too.

Meteorologists are expecting the rain to start falling this afternoon. Expect high winds and heavy rain. Flooding is a possibility and of course, everybody's favorite - power outages! Be safe on the roads (especially in the right lane on 280 South between Cesar Chavez and Alemany, where a gigantic puddle always seems to surprise drivers) and please be courteous to other drivers, bikers, and pedestrians.

Up to ten feet of snow (Holy Toledo!) is expected to fall in Lake Tahoe this weekend. If you're already there, happy skiing. If not, don't count on the roads being open.
