Steriods: Thinking Globally, Acting Locally

Steriods: Thinking Globally, Acting Locally

After all the hype and after all the expectations, we have to admit the steroid report was pretty much a yawner. We wanted names, damnit, lots and lots of names. Juicy names. Big names. Super Colossus Names. Instead we got Gregg Zaun. Bo-ring. The list was mainly a bunch of journeymen and never-were's from the 90's and who cares about them? Wasn't this whole thing about nailing the big boys? more ›

Who Am I?

Who Am I?

The last time we saw The Who, we were fairly certain we were witnessing a farewell tour. _42081534_whoap2203ap.jpgThe ebullient and explosive Keith Moon was already dead, replaced by serviceable former Small Face, Kenney Jones. Wah-huh?

Maybe Nancy Pelosi is getting a little too comfortable with the support in her district. Seems that while on the congressional delegation to attend the funeral for the Pope, she made nice with Democratic Party uber-villain Tom DeLay. The Hill reports that she even presented him with a cake for his 58th birthday on the flight back from Rome (in the same piece they note that Linda Ronstadt is invited to the wedding of Jerry Brown and Anne Gust). We got the link via Wonkette, which is currently being rocked by EssEff-local Greg Beato. more ›

SFist Watches: Movies This Weekend Oscars Special

SFist enjoys the who big-ass spectacle that is the Oscars, but we have to admit that we've always been really bad at seeing the nominated movies. They all just look so, we don't know, educational or something! Assuming you're not quite as dumb or lazy as we are, perhaps you've seen all the nominated films already. But if you haven't, SFist has you covered. more ›
