Consider this a favor, fans of television, from SFist to you: Tim Goodman, superb TV critic from the San Francisco Chronicle, has a podcast. He's calling it The TV Talk Machine. If you've heard him in guest spots on KFOG in the ayem, you know that he's great in any medium. We just looked at the SFist Watches we posted last Christmas and you know what? The TV offerings are basically the same this year! Darlene Love performing the best Christmas song ever, "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" on Letterman tonight? Check. Twenty-four hours of A Christmas Story on TBS starting on Christmas Eve? Check. It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve, (albeit on NBC and butchered by an hour's worth of commercial interruptions)? Check.......

We don't know what to do with ourselves. The TV season has come to an end, the finales are all over, and TV is beginning to look like a vast wasteland of reality shows. (Seriously, people. "Dancing with the Stars"?!) We're not sure what to do with ourselves. Go OUTSIDE? But doesn't that give you cancer? We could read, but if we're going to be sitting at home anyway, why not just turn on......
