We received a curt Oscar-related message this morning: Um, how the did No Country for Old Men win best picture? Not sure. But if we had to pick our favorite lots-of-dust-and-blood film of the year, it would go to There Will Be Blood. But we (sort of) enjoyed the -- how do we say this delicately? -- East Coast-friendly Coen Brothers film. Are we missing something? Did it not deserve its crowning of best......

While we can't agree with Grandma Joy on her dismissive review of There Will Be Blood, because our love for self-indulgent vanity pieces knows no limits, we can agree that "Movies With Grandma Joy" is adorably informative, addictive. Based on Upton Sinclair's 1927 novel Oil!, Anderson's latest film features Daniel Day-Lewis as David Plainview, an unpredictably violent and spiritually aimless oil-baron-in-the-making. Shot in the desolate......

While we love everything about the Another Hole In The Head film festival, we're especially stoked about the The Primitive Screwheads' production of their new show, The Chainsaw Massacres, at CELLspace June 14 at 9 p.m. We first fell for these guys last HoleHead, when we saw their brilliant Evil Dead Live, and we had a blast at their Re-Animator of the Dead: The Tale of Herbert West. Their new show looks to be......
