Remember Vawanda? The Muni bus driver whose bravery many of you refused to believe in? Well, as fate would have it, local treasure Jameth, who uses her ad image as an avatar, finally found her! Driving the 47-Van Ness with aplomb and nerves of steel, she even has her testimonial poster next her. Nothing short of adorable, folks.

The Muni security camera site may have gotten locked away, but we can still remember those few glorious few hours of spying which we were able to enjoy. In case you missed it, a collection of Muni cameras were caught facing the internet, and a leaked password opened the site up for us all to enjoy ... until someone changed the login details. Oh well. At any rate, please enjoy the time-lapse video that we created by taking and animating a series of automated screengrabs. (Or you can also watch a slightly slower, more gradual version.) Note the train that gets stuck in the bottom middle monitor for a half hour around 10:15 -- that's the only highlight we were able to catch before the site booted us out around 1pm.
We'll get right to this week's post in which our Security Guy once again asks questions that were asked in our last post, but first, we just wanted to remind you that if you have any questions you'd like our security guy to answer, send them to editor@sfist.com
Aw, crap. We were all ready to do a "Muni Does a Good Job" post -- it just seemed like time to take a break in the parade of Muni madness. But you, our dear, dear readers, have given us another week of Muni disaster. When will it end?
We all know how much our readers (and our staff) lurve to complain about the Muniserable. And it's not just when they're sticking it to the First Amendment. In fact, and every progressive in town will get on our case for this, we'd give up our constitutional rights for a fast, clean, reliable public transportation system. Almost. Oh, hell, if they could actually deliver on that promise, we'd probably let the charter be rewritten by Alberto Gonzalez. The Muni feels like torture as it is.
