Smut dealers Good Vibrations -- famous for its clean and female-friendly space where ladies can purchase dildos, fruity massage oils, and other orgasm-achieving aids -- is on shaky ground these days.

Once upon a time a famous New Yorker cartoon suggested, “On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a dog.” Now a day, nobody cares if you are a dog. The Internet is awash with dogs posting of their own profiles to communicate with other canines and humans alike.

So often, when folks ask us what we're reading, we want to respond "The Internet". Seriously, we read online all damn day, it's amazing we are able to squeeze in words on paper, too! We can marry our love of the internet and books with the San Francisco Public Library's online reserve system, but it's also nice to get out there int he mix and thumb through the offerings at one of our fine local independent bookstores.

We'll use this week's post to highlight the project of one enterprising Bay Blogger, Eddie Codel, who is leading the charge to produce an awesome event this September: Webzine 2005!
