Sfist interviews Yoni Wolf of Why?

Cal Performances' biennial Berkeley Edge Fest is dedicated to presenting works of contemporary music and performance. Starting this Thursday (June 7) and running through Sunday June 10 at Zellerbach Hall, the Edge Fest seems to be pushing an anti-Bush theme this year. Oh, they're just giving the people of Berkeley exactly what they want to hear!

This is a little late to be posted- but we did just want to give a nod to the youth short films screening as part of the SF Women's Film Festival on Saturday afternoon in the Audre Lorde Room at the Women’s Building. The whole viewing lasted about an hour or so, but it managed to showcase a whole lot of youth talent in a brief time period.

These shows resist lumping.

The Fall TV season has officially begun, and we've been programming our TiVos and setting Season Pass priorities with the research and concentration usually reserved for complex algebraic equations (a subject which we admittedly flunked in high school). Needless to say, we're both parts excited and exhausted, so let's just get started with our look at some of the week's premieres. (Luckily, Sunday has already passed, and we're hoping you overlooked the series premiere of "The War at Home" on Fox, which was truly a painful thing to behold.)
