San Francisco police continue to be on the lookout for an angry driver, days after he attacked a man on Polk Street.

The San Francisco Police Department termed the incident an "Assault with a Deadly Weapon" Thursday morning, saying that it went down at 9:30 Monday night.

According to the SFPD, a man in his 20s was driving near the intersection of Polk and Bush Streets, when he became "involved in a road rage argument" with a 57-year-old man.

The argument ended when they younger man threw a glass bottle at the older man, police say, striking him.

The bottle-tosser fled, police say. The victim was left with non-life-threatening injuries, police say. His attacker remains at large as of Thursday, according to the SFPD, and no arrests have been made in the case.

An early morning collision between a driver and a pedestrian sent the latter to the hospital — and the former fleeing from the San Francisco intersection where the crash occurred.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, it was 1:30 a.m. when a 58-year-old man attempted to cross at the intersection of Sutter and Larkin Streets.

That's when, police say, the driver of a black Mercedes struck the victim, leaving him with "head injuries and pain to nose and mouth."

That intersection, as you can see above, is regulated by a four-way traffic signal. Citing the ongoing investigation, police did not provide information on which party was crossing on the signal, or if the motorist was turning when they struck the victim.

According to SFPD spokesperson Officer Carlos Manfredi, "the most important thing a driver can do" following a crash is "remain on the scene...by failing to do that, you turn a collision into a hit-and-run." And that's what happened here, as police say that the driver in this case fled the scene, and remains at large as of publication time.

The victim, police say, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was transported to San Francsico General Hospital, where he remains as of Wednesday morning.

Cool Google Street View Capture: Swinging SuJo Style

One addictive part of our job is using Google Street View on a regular basis.
"The victim and suspect met at a nearby cafe and then left. As they got to the street corner, an argument began and the victim was stabbed in the torso," reports SF Appeal. "The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were initially considered life threatening. However, he is now expected to survive."

The suspects, described as a white guy around 40 and 50 years old and :"wearing a black baseball hat, gray jacket and blue jeans, was last seen fleeing the scene on his black bike. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts should call SFPD's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444 or via tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.

Big, unofficially the City's best little bar, will close tonight. And they will celebrate their going-out party with a day- and night-long bash. But fear not, folks, as this won't be the last you hear of Big.

As Eater points out: "Because of Big, we were introduced to the talents of barman Brian Felley, and he and partners Peter Glikshtern and Jeff Whitmore are going to open something else, likely on Mid-Market, in a matter of months."

Also, Inside Scoop has more on tonight's festivities: "The bar is extending hours for its finale, and will open at noon today. All-day, there will be $5 tacos from Tango & Stache, along with the requisite cocktail fun. And then, Big will close, ending a fun little run that was cut too short; it’s the kind of place that would’ve been a good mainstay for San Francisco."

SFist talked to Josh Oakley, of Tango & Stanche, who gave us his thoughts on the bar's closure thusly: "BIG set the precedent. It shall be the best biggest littlest cocktail bar in San Francisco. And I for one, will miss it terribly."

See why tonight.
