Teens Brazenly Rob Man On Muni Bus

Angry Charles Bronson types, be prepared to get your Bernhard Goetz-infused rage on. According to Eye On Blogs' Brittney Gilbert, who saw what happened firsthand, a man on the 49 around 26th and Mission last night had his wallet stolen by two vile teens. And, understandably, he did nothing about it as it was happening. But wait, it gets worse. Gilbert goes on to report, "To clarify, two teens on the 49 took a man’s wallet that was in his hand, and hared him to do something about it. He did not." Sad. And frustrating. Muni is normally a place for all citizens to safely-- oh wait. Nevermind. [via Mission Mission]

Teen Fugitives Accused of Murdering Mom Caught

El Dorado Hills Steven Colver and Tylar Witt, suspected of murdering Tylar's mother, have been caught this morning. San Bruno police, according to KRON 4, captured the two at the Tanforan Mall. (Because no one would ever think to find teens at a mall.) On Monday, if you recall, deputies found Joanne Witt, 47, in her home in El Dorado Hills, which is 22 miles east of Sacramento. According to reports, Witt died after suffering "violent injuries." The abandoned car the teens used to evade police was found on the 500 block of O'Farrell Street last night.

(UPDATED) SFist Asks: Have You Seen This Missing Marin Girl?

We came across this post on Facebook (published 13 hours ago), about a missing Marin girl: "INDIA CLOUD WAS SEEN 45min AGO ON HAIGHT ST NEAR AMOEBA IN SAN FRANCISCO!!!!! She has moved but can't have gone far. She was reported alone..."

Today in Death News

Not to be a total bummer this Monday Tuesday morning, but let's get this quick wrap-up over with.

Teen Dies at Orinda House Party

Joseph Loudon, 16, was found unconscious at an Orinda house party over the holiday weekend, ultimately dying from alcohol poisoning. In addition to being cute, white, God-fearing and popular at his high school, Loudon also played on the track/field and football teams. So, naturally, this was one of top stories on the morning news today -- but still, all things considered, a tragic story. Anyway, his 18-year-old buddy, Patrick Gabrielli, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors. That is to say, Gabrielli, who has since posted bail, bought Loudon the fatal liquor.

Brutal Beating, Mugging on 24th Street / Capp

Egads, this sounds awful. In yet another why reason teenagers should be handled with cattle prods and crammed with psychoactives at all times, a man was alleged beaten and robbed by a most vile gaggle of teenagers in the Mission yesterday. According to Mission Mission, here's what happened.

Two Men Arrested in I-680 Pellet Gun Shootings

A couple weeks ago we mentioned this disturbing-though-not-deadly situation on I-680 where drivers were getting shot at, apparently by an air rifle and maybe by a teenager, and getting their car windows shattered. Well, two 21-year-olds have been arrested and they're facing 40 some odd counts of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism, among other things. We know that these air rifle things are weapons, and maybe deadly if they had actually caused someone to crash, but can we technically call them "deadly weaspons"? Perhaps that's beside the point. And anyway, drivers on 680 can rest easy, and though not teens they were still just a couple of asshole kids having target practice.

Some Kid Using Cars on 680 For Target Practice

A sadistic teenager / psychopathic "gunman" has been shooting at cars as they pass between Washington and Mission Boulevards on 680 near the Fremont-Sunol border (i.e. boonies adjacent). No one has been hurt, but ten cars in total have had windows shot out over the past week and a half, five of which happened during the same five-minute span on Saturday morning around 11:45.

Calling All Teen Chefs!

by Tiffany Maleshefski

At around 4 a.m. on Christmas morning, five teenagers beat and kicked a man at 25th and Mission streets. According to KCBS, the victim allegedly said something to aggravate the five teenage suspects, "who then followed the man to the intersection of Mission and 20th streets before throwing him to the ground and attacking him." (Group of teenage boys = scary. Which is why you should carry pepper spray, folks. A convergence of hormones, zits, and skidmarks is a Molotov cocktail waiting to blow.) The victim is being treated for life threatening injuries. No arrests, to no one's surprise, have been made.

Is this for real, or one of those ridiculous made-uppy New-York-Times-imagined-it problems? Apparently, the times reported a month ago that in SF, there are some low-income students who would rather starve than accept government-subsidized food. And now, at last, the SF Schools Blog offers a loooooong rebuttal with loads of context. Here's the gist: yeah, it's a problem, it's a problem everywhere, but we already knew about it and we're trying solve it. (The solution: switch to a debit-card system that makes method-of-payment less obvious. Cost to taxpayers: $1 million, though it'll allegedy "pay for itself.")

In a bit of late-breaking news, teenagers are apparently illegally(!) drinking(!) underage(!). Marin County held a townhall meeting in Kentfield last night to discuss this very recent, out-of-control phenomenon amongst teenagers. Parents and teenagers (sober, natch) voiced their concerns about underage drinking and wagged their fingers at certain areas of town where drinking runs rampant at city high schools.

SF Crime (via Bay City News) has harrowing details that a 17-year-old boy sexually assaulted and then shot a girl on March 8. The alleged crime occurred somewhere on Cesar Chavez Street. So far, the suspect is unidentified and still at-large.
