According to the Scoop, owner Aaron Hulme says the joint will open this afternoon at 3 p.m. to serve up suds, sausage and sauerkraut for your midweek happy hour enjoyment.

On tap for the Hayes Valley Proxy Project's first alcohol-serving launch are a range of German-style beers (including what's left of their Hofbrau Oktoberfest supply) and a menu of beer-friendly items like brats, pretzel sandwiches and various forms of mayonnaise-laden salads. Weather permitting, they'll be open until 8 or 9 p.m. this evening and will be open every day of the week except Mondays moving forward.

If you do get a chance to drop by this afternoon, which should be a nice crisp fall one, feel free to let us know how it stacks up against Zeitgeist's beergarden juggernaut.
