What with the (somewhat benign yet very popular) Folsom Street Fair approaching this Sunday, it's not shocking that Treasure Island Media, a local porn company that specializes in bareback (i.e., condom-free) adult entertainment, has been 86'd from Sunday's festivities. In fact, they've been banned for several years now. No, not for distributing films with such titles as Plantin’ Seed (Folsom Underground) or Dawson's 20-Load Weekend, but for having had actual sex acts inside their booths at past Folsom Street Fair.

SFist Guide to June's Free Festivals and Street Fairs
Summer Street Fair Season is fast approaching and because nothing drives us to drink quite like a crowd of people slowly waddling past miles of vendors, we bring you our brief guide to the next month of free festivals and street fairs:
Another Battle Lost in War on Fun: Booze Banned at Union Street Festival
Thanks to the SFPD, the Marina and Cow Hollow will have one less opportunity to get shitfaced together in the out-of-doors. The Union Street Festival, billed -- laughably -- as an "arts and crafts fair" for its 35 years, will be booze-free for the first time this year. That means no beer gardens, and cops will be out in force issuing open-container tickets and keeping tabs on whatever house parties spring up along Union.
Pics From Castro Street Fair
Yesterday, in addition to being Day 3 of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and the serotonin hangover day for LovEvolution attendees, was also the 36th annual Castro Street Fair -- a tradition started by Harvey Milk which has come to represent, one week later, the anti-Folsom Street Fair. Non-leather-wearing gays, neighborhood drag queens, lesbians, trans folks, and a smattering of nudists gathered in the streets of the Castro to enjoy funnel cakes, random tent vendors and multiple stages of live entertainment. It was, in essence, the last big occasion for day-drinking in the gay calendar until next Saturday Pride. Here, a few pics.
