If you're starting to feel a post-holiday depression and Les Miserables just doesn't seem like the right thing to lift your spirits, then tonight's set from (formerly) local comedienne Ali Wong ought to be just the ticket you're looking for. Wong was named SFWeekly's Best Comedian in 2009 before decamped for a life of stardom in Hollywood.

With appearances on The Tonight Show, Chelsea Lately and Chelsea Handler's new sitcom Are You There, Chelsea? and a spot on Variety's "10 Comics to Watch" list in 2011, Wong's smart-girl looks have definitely be made her a new fixture down South. (She even turned up recently in Oliver Stone's drugwar drama Savages.) But don't let the bookishness fool you: beneath those chic glasses lies a dirty mouth.
