Oh No, Ed Jew!: Calculated Attack
Local Fire And Brimstone (If By Brimstone We Mean Generalized Trouble)
Did you see (video footage) all that smoke (pictures) yesterday? A fire at 17th and Noe Street between the Mission and the Castro at around 6:30 yesterday evening displaced at least 14 people, and sent seven to the hospital for smoke inhalation. One man had to be rescued off the roof. The fire spread to the building next door too, but firefighters managed to put it out before that building was too damaged. The SFFD is still investigating the cause of the fire, though one witness said she'd been repeatedly complaining to her landlord about pot smokers in the building.

Remember that couple we told you about that was stealing stuff from open houses? They got busted by the OnStar in their rental Hummer. Police won't reveal where they were, except to say they were "out of state."
Where'd Those 73 Other Galaxies Come From?
Look what we found in the SFist Flickr stream! Reader IMPEACH sends along this picture, confirming the reports we've gotten from a couple of other readers -- there's now 85 Galaxies on Frank Chu's sign, not just 12.
The (Carbon) Prints Of Tides
Well, isn't it interesting that this is happnening right after the Board of Supes votes to leave PG&E and pursue Community Choice Energy? Today, Gavin (Representing the City and County of San Francisco), PG&E, and Golden Gate Energy Company agreed to study harnessing the San Francisco Bay's tides for a greener kind of power. We're talking power that has zero-emmissions and is renewable. The study is slated to last a year and will examine envionmental impact, economic feasibility, and other issues regarding the practicality of harnessing energy from natural, highly predictable tide power.

SFist Blotter
Hey kid. An SFist editor would like to have some words with you. A 16-year-old from Belmont was arrested for planting those bombs around SF General yesterday. He was caught with another explosive device in his house, and they think he might have planted some bombs near SF General last month too. And yeah, you may have heard -- it turns out they were actual bombs.
SFist Finds: Abandon Your TV (Actually, Donating It Would Be Better)
Got any found photos, objects, or letters/notes/lists you'd like to share? Send them to found at sfist.com! The items must have been found in the Bay Area and their ownership unknown. Let us know where and when they were found and any other helpful info.
The above tv was captured Monday by Marsha Vdovin on 20th between Valencia and Mission. Be sure to check out her fabulous blog! We found Marsha's photo via the SFist Flickr stream. So, label your found items with the sfist tag, and we'll be scouting you out, too! If you'd like to be even more helpful, put where and when you found the item in the caption.
After the jump, check out SFist Jeremy's cool contribution!
Day Around The Bay
--Ha! The guy to your right ran for mayor of Barcelona, and doesn't he look like Matt Gonzalez? By copatbark from the SFist Flickr stream.
