SF Crime (via Bay City News) has harrowing details that a 17-year-old boy sexually assaulted and then shot a girl on March 8. The alleged crime occurred somewhere on Cesar Chavez Street. So far, the suspect is unidentified and still at-large.

If you recall, last Thursday a mother, while loading groceries into her car at a local Safeway, was approached by a man, carjacked, taken to a secluded area, and then sexually assaulted as her daughter was in the car.

  • A San Francisco City College and Saint Mary's College instructor was found slain in his car at Montara Beach this past Saturday night. According to the Gate:

  • An SFist reader sent us these mildly NSFW shots he snapped up at two storefront windows in a place he calls "Omaha, Nebraska." Strange.

Pittsburg police -- you know, that place at the end-of-the-line BART station that also happens to be a city -- released a composite sketch of the man suspected of abducting and sexually assaulting two people in Pittsburg last Saturday morning.

Oh Jesus H. Christ, this is an upsetting story. We caught wind of this today on SF Weekly's The Snitch We're (not at all) surprised that major local media outlets haven't reported on this (at least as far as we know.) On November 10 a lady was raped in Glen Park -- aided by his female friend who robbed her moments prior to his attack -- only to be raped again by the same...

According Eric Thomas from ABC 7, who went into mighty graphic detail about what happened, a suspect was arrested today for the kidnapping and rape of a 17-year-old Palo Alto teen. This past Wednesday a teen was kidnapped in Palo Alto, taken to Sunnyvale (on the 500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue), and then sexually assaulted. She survived...

Wow, sorry all the news we're posting today is such a downer, but San Jose is reeling from the news of the brutal sexual assault and murder of Sany San, a recent Cambodian immigrant who had survived the Khmer Rouge.

Whoops, sorry we're so late getting this post up -- we lost our notes and tore up the house before resigning ourselves to the idea that somewhere, someone is going to find a notebook with "the lighter side of rape" scrawled across the first page. That comment refers to . It's a speculative spoofing of the Patty Hearst abduction that asks the question, what if Patty'd been abducted by hilarious lesbians and subjected to comedic sexual assault? Ha ha ha ha ha ha! It's a recipe for wackiness!

    Here's a wrapup of today's news

Here's the daily wrap up of the news

Update: 11/1. 4:10 p.m. Shooting count back down to 9. Incident was sparked when one group of party attendees threw a bottle at another. One person was questioned by the police but then released -- no arrests have yet been made. Only two people are in the hospital (one grazed on the head by a bullet, another hit in the knee). At least one group is thought to be a gang. Gavin and Bevan met today to discuss options for next year (metal detectors, entrance fee, age restrictions).

They really do have different problems from the rest of us up in Marin! The Fairfax police have their hands full with complaints about a guard dog taking his job protecting his family's goats (four cashmere, one dairy) a little too seriously. Five neighbors have complained about herding dog Percy's loud barking, which is supposed to drive away coyotes but instead brings on the police instead. Well, we suppose that's one way to keep the coyotes away. Good boy, Percy! (Dude, we'd recommend reading the whole article, which goes into the citizens' arrest procedures for loud dogs in Fairfax, and also tells a sad tale about a loud rooster in Fairfax, whose owner was cited for the crime of having fowl within city limits. Clearly, Fairfax rules.)

Seattlest saw a house party get senselessly attacked with a shotgun and end in seven dead. A local senator is debated and their version of the big dig is investigated. To truly get to the bottom of it they interview the writer Jonathan Raban.

dragonfight.jpg Traffic on southbound 880 was backed up for five hours yesterday after a CHP officer shot and killed a delusional man in Fremont. The 30-something year old man was being taken to the hospital by his parents because of his suicidal behavior, when he jumped out of the moving car and rolled into a ditch on the side of the road. His parents pulled over and were attempting to coax him back in the car when the CHP officer showed up. The man, who weighed about 230 pounds, then began grunting at and lunging at the officer, who first pepper-sprayed him, then shot him when he didn't stop. Traffic backed up for 10 miles, all the way to San Leandro. More anarchist fallout -- SF police chief Heather Fong is personally reviewing all the 911 and radio tapes from last month's Black Block G8 protest fiasco, where a cop ended up with a fractured skull. The tapes show a number of frantic Mission residents reporting rocks being thrown into cars and a dispatcher that kept getting 22nd and 25th Street mixed up. Poor Officer Shields -- the tapes show that he was so overwhelmed and alone, he had to call in his own broken skull to HQ. And eeps, the Oakland PD is investigating a mysterious kidnapping, attack, and sexual assault on an Oakland girl, who was left for dead on a cul de sac in a Hayward neighborhood. The 16-year-old girl, who was drifting in and out of consciousness, reported that she had been stabbed in the heart.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is sort of a dreary topic but an important one.
