It's the new year so it's a new Ask a Muni Security Guy question. This one was inspired by seeing some lady eat chinese food on BART while also reading a magazine.... How do you handle food on MUNI? Technically it's not allowed but everyone kind of does it.

Remember that story our Muni Security Guy told us about that fracas between some security dudes and a bus driver? Well, you got comments and we got responses and we also got further updates which we'll post later. After a bit of a hiatus, our Muni Security Guy returns with a primer on how Muni Security Guys become Muni Security Guys. We'd also like to let everyone know that our Muni Driver has taken a bit of a break and hopefully will return soon. But if there are any other Muni Drivers (or anyone who does anything Muni-like) out there who'd like to take a plunge, let us know-- we'd love to have you.

Previously, we asked our Muni Driver how he'd fix Muni. This time around, we're going to ask our Security Guy. And hey, if you got any questions you'd like asked, send them to editor@sfist.com.

Since we had so many questions asked of our Muni Security Guy last week, we decided to split his comments into two. Today, he answers the few remaining questions that were asked. And away we go...

In today's installment of "Ask a Muni Security Guy" our security guy answers questions that commenters asked last time around. He will also discuss this week's Muni news about budget cuts and their impact on Muni security. And before we go to the post, we'd like to formally announce that "Ask a Muni Driver" will be returning next Monday as we have another driver willing to answer all your questions.

Our beloved Muni Driver may have stopped writing for us, but that doesn't mean we can't get another part of Muni to take their chances posting for us. So without further ado, we'd like to start our new feature, Ask a Muni Security Guy.
