Last night when we and a few of our more tolerably-alcoholic friends took a break over at the St. Regis (why not?) -- which included SFist emerita and SF Gate/Chron rescuer Eve Batey for a few, short seconds -- we were jarred to find former San Francisco Mayor Willie Lewis Brown kicking it right next to us. It should go without saying that insouciance was seeping out of William's ears, nose, and ass. What's more, this precious SF-celeb encounter totally put last month's St. Regis B.D. Wong sighting to shame.

Bravely risking horrifying pregnancy and/or breast-feeding remarks from multinymous Commenter Matt/Brunhilda/Saul, we'll report that the Guilfency nuptials may be of the shotgun variety, as Kim's five months pregnant with a son!

On Thursday night, political non-profit organization Music For America presented their inaugural Icon Awards to honor influential musicians, outstanding political achievement, and social responsibility. Honorees included Gavin Newsom, Green Day, Death Cab For Cutie, Oakland-based Youth Movement Records, Working Assets, and MFA Board Member Dan Lipski. With 60,000 members, Music for America endeavors to engage young people in politics through partnerships with musicians and music communities.

Well, Randy Shaw apparently got the news that the Gavster's strategists are looking into the possibility of running for the Democratic nomination for the gubenatorial race next year. He writes in Beyond Chron:

Spring is a time for love. The flowers bloom, the sun shines, and the little creatures copulate. Today brings us not one, but two reports from New York about the Gavster's ex, Kim-Kim. First, from the Post, which we'll just quote because, well, they're evil they require registration now:
