Wow, one show on Monday and twelve on Friday. This week we definitely start off a bit slow, but by the end of the week, we have a ton of choices. Wednesday, there is the sold-out Ingrid Michaelson show that had to be moved from Cafe du Nord to Slim's because apparently everyone is into "librarian chic" right now. Though it's sold-out, you can still find tickets on craigslist; the prices aren't too inflated, yet.......

SFist Jenna's rocked so hard, we've made her a full-fledged staff writer as of this post! Congratulations, SFist Jenna! We're excited to have you on board (like we're a ship or something). It's going to be freezing, but what else is new? Might as well make the most of it -- be sure to pack plenty of blankets and head over to a screening of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory tonight, in......

We spent most of the time in Houston with our family and managed to type out our top 10 albums of '06 while our nephews watched "Pirates of the Carribbean" for the nth time. One night was spent in Austin with one of our favorite people......

Let's hear it for SFist Sarah L and her awesome weeklies wrapup from last week! Whoooo! And an extra-special thanks for compiling not only a weekly of the week but the weekly of the year as well. So let's get 2007 started right, with the weekly of the year, the Bay Guardian. Yes, we know, we usually start with the weekly of the week, but we wanted an excuse to run a picture of that......

This week we're giving away a night of rock n' roll debauchery. Fans of good, old-fashioned, muscular rock like T. Rex and Thin Lizzy should listen up: there's a show at Cafe Du Nord next Friday (4/21) that's right up your alley. Living Things is a band of brothers out of St Louis who really have it all: lyrics with social awareness, grimy riffs that make you move and last but not least, swagger and......
