Over at the Appeal, there's an alarming roundup of recent raccoon attacks in Alameda. We don't personally recall seeing any of these tiny bears sneaking around the city in recent memory, but across the Bay they're attacking Yorkshire terriers and sneaking in through doggy doors looking for food. So, as a friendly reminder: kindly vaccinate your pets against rabies and distemper. But also don't touch raccoon poop - It has an "intestinal parasitic worm that will cause severe disease if it infects humans" and you don't want that. [SFAppeal]
