The Snitch brings us the tale of a man desperate for a dogsitter for his German Shepard puppy who turned to an unknown friend of a friend for help. Said friend of a friend made off with the dog, and was later spotted by police sitting around on the street in the Upper Haight (isn't that illegal now?) drinking a beer, adorable puppy in tow. SFist has known about the insanely adorable Shiba Inu Puppy Cam since early October, but now the world has caught up. People magazine interviewed the six precious pups' owners, who say, "We've received a number of emails from people who are in hospitals battling various diseases who have told us that they look to the Shiba Inu Puppy Cam as a way to liven up their spirits." Aw! And Ustream.TV CEO John Ham, who was surprised by the puppy cam's popularity, has the puppy cam playing on a widescreen TV at the office, "The number one thing internally we've come to is that they're cute."
