Bushee!">
Former editor of The Arizona Republic, vice president of The Cincinnati Enquirer, and top editor for the Reno Gazette-Journal and the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Bay Area's Ward E. Bushee was just named executive VP and editor of the San Francisco Chronicle.

After graduating from San Diego State University (dude!) in 1971 with a degree in history, Bushee started his career at The Salinas Californian in 1975 and then over the Marin Independent Journal. Then, after Wednesday's announcement that Phil Bronstein was stepping down as editor, presto: Ward landed the (sweet?) gig over at the Chron.

Uh oh. He also looks like a redhead. And bears a genital-adjacent name. We know your pain all too well, Bushee.
