What makes the story even sadder is that the deliveryman was a 38-year-old immigrant named Thanh Thach who became a U.S. citizen last September and leaves two children. He was working two jobs to try and earn enough money to bring his mother to the U.S. from their native home, Cambodia.

The story gets even worse in that police suspect that it might not have been a usual robbery, but that it was a gang initiation. Kind of like that old story about how people in LA would get shot if they turned flashed their lights at another car. We always thought these stories were sort of urban myths, but maybe not. Police suspect that it was an initiation as nothing was taken from the deliveryman, not even the pizza. The other thought is that it was just a robbery gone wrong-- really wrong-- but aren't completely sure yet.
