It's the last weekend before.... the District 6 election! This week's episode: Everybody Hates The Final Push. --Bar crawl with Chris Daly and the League of Pissed Off Voters tonight, on a party bus. Show up at 9 p.m. outside Daly HQ on 16th and Mission to decorate the bus (!!!), and the group leaves around 9:30 for a tour of the best drinking holes in District 6. There'll be some leaflet distribution, a fair......

Divide the District 6 election by three and what do you get? That's right -- Michela Alioto-Pier's Pac Heights/Marina District 2, the former district of Gavin Newsom, which is considered a bastion of proper San Francisco conservative (equivalent to: mainstream Democratic party) values. the local chapter of the League is sponsoring an event called 40 Parties in 40 Nights, to keep awareness about the election high in the upcoming few weeks. Party number 1 will be on Sunday the 26th, at Kelly's Mission Rock, and the musical entertainment includes reggae band The People, and DJs Deepcee and Danielle, plus "special guests." No one will be turned away for lack of funds, but they're suggesting a donation of $10-20, which will be used to fund the League's road trips to Reno to lobby undecided voters in the Keep Nevada Blue campaigns....
