This was not a very happy week for the -ist network as one of our own, Phillyist co-editor Star C. Foster, passed away early in the week. Her wit, intelligence, and good nature shone through the site, making Phillyist an immensely fun read. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Phillyist paid tribute to her this week with a heartfelt letter to her and an obituary. And now, the awkward......

John Entwistle was rock steady but looked a little bored. Roger Daltrey was on the verge of developing a bit too much paunch for his iconic shirtlessness. What is it with Americans going oversees and losing in sports that should be ours? First it was our soccer team, then our basketball team, and now this-- Alameda's very own Craig "Hot Lixx Hulahan" Billmeier came in sixth at the Championship 2006 in Oulu, Finland Sept. 8. The first place winner was Japan's Ochi "Dainoji" Yosuke who dazzled the audience with his air guitar prowess on Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" (see the video above). ...
