Two men were killed after a car crash in San Francisco early this morning involving a Suzuki sedan carrying five passengers traveling westbound on Ocean Avenue near Junipero Serra Boulevard. The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. According to BCN (via SF Appeal), "Two men were thrown from the sedan--one victim was pronounced dead on the scene, and another victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, but eventually succumbed to his injuries." Two other other passengers were also injured. No word yet whether or not booze played a role.

SFIFF: Audience Of One
A movie about local filmmakers wrangling with local politicians? We are so there!
Dear Mr. Ford
Muni driver is no longer with us, but that doesn't mean the questions won't keep coming. Reader RK sent us this last week and his completely frustrating experience is something we've all been through. And just why do they sometimes stop trains in the middle of the run anyways? And why can't drivers at least tell everyone why?
Wednesdays, The New Wednesdays
Check out this hook while my Wednesday revolves it! Today: The Del Sol string quartet performs pieces by female Korean composer Hyo-Shin Na at the Main Library today at 2. Na will be there to introduce the pieces. We're partial to Del Sol and their 20th-21st century stylings (they played this correspondent's wedding), so go check 'em out!
Just Say No For Now
Today, Gavin Newsom put a lid on places that sell lids and called for a moratorium on marijuana clubs. And we bet we're the only one's in the -ist family who'll ever have to write a story like this about their Mayor. What caused the moratorium is news that came out last week that a new marijuana club, the Holistic Center, had opened right below one of those Care Not Cash welfare hotels set up to help people get off drugs. Oops.
