Warriors, baby, we need to talk. With Monday night's double kiss off -- a demoralizing loss to the Nuggets in Denver and the news that Baron Davis is going under the knife -- our relationship in on the rocks. Again. Sigh.

As such, we find ourselves on the horns of a dilemma. Should we shoulder the slings and arrows of the last month and give you one last chance to make it up to us with a playoff berth, or should we go ahead and change the locks on this season?

-And speaking of the Warriors, there's bad news and even worse news. The bad news is that they lost to the Nuggets 123-111. The worse news? Baron Davis is all set to have knee surgery. Is this the end of the season? Should the Warriors, then, throw in the towel and play for a lottery pick? And should fans root for them to loose-- you know, fantanking.

-The Warriors miserable road trip continues as they lose to the miserable Atlanta Hawks. Even worse, they have the dreaded back-to-back game as they take on 'Melo and AI tonight against the Nuggets. Golden State of Mind is depressed but Bruce Jenkins says buck up, the Warriors could still make the playoffs. Monte Poole disagrees.

What is it with this team? Just when Warrior nation was about to write them off as the latest version of Chris Cohan's spectacularly unsuccessful basketball product, they up and beat two of the best teams in the league in consecutive games.

Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles, the Warriors won last night, defeating the Denver Carmelo Anthony’s 107-97 at the Arena Nobody Can Sell the Naming Rights To in Oakland. The game ended the Warriors nine-game losing streak and also marked the return of Jason Richardson, who led the way with 42 points. Lest we get all over-excited about this, the Nuggets were down three major players last night due to various suspensions. They have also lost seven out of eight games.

While losing to the Shaq-led Miami Heat 98-91 isn't that much of an embarrassment, it being the Warriors' seventh loss in a row is. It's especially disappointing in that not to long ago, back in those halcyon days of late 2004, the Warriors had gone on a four-game winning streak and were making people think that maybe Chris Mullin knew what he was doing. Considering that at that point, the Warriors were about to go play a bunch of lesser-lights in the lesser-light Eastern Conference (the Joey Fatone Conference to the Western Conference's Justin Timberlake), people were even getting gosh darn excited about the Warriors' chances. Those were the days. Even worse is that in three out of the seven games in the losing streak, the Warriors actually were close at half-time, only to come out of the locker-room so refreshed and energized that they were blown out the moment the horn started.
