The yahoos who stole an ATM from the JaValencia Cafe on 20th and Val. last night were busted by the ATM's secret transponder signal. Police traced the ATM's cry for help to a house in Pacifica, but will reveal no other information. You'd think the criminals would have been like, "you know, there must be some reason why people don't steal ATM machines all the time," but hey. Oh, you crazy frat boys. The Cal frat Pi Kappa Phi is under investigation after a student was shot at least 30 times in the chest and arms with a BB gun. Police will not release any information about the student, but suspect hazing (you think?). The student has decided he does not want to press charges. Probably because they'd make him drink 20 shots of Jager and do pushups in the rain if he did. And in more serious news, there was a shooting this morning in North Beach, at Columbus and North Point.
