This morning, ESPN's Len Pasquarelli is reporting that "sources" say that the 49ers' prized offensive coordinator Norv Turner will be the new coach of the San Diego Chargers, to which we say noooooo....

-The Warriors 2.0 won their first game of the season, beating the Nets on a last minute shot by Monta Ellis. They were actually down by about eleven with a little over four minutes to go and rallied to win. Nicely done. Was it the biggest win of the year?...

The good news is the Warriors scored 135 points last night in Memphis against the Grizzlies. Bet you can't see where this one is going. Yup. The bad news is that they gave up 144 points.

As the score indicates, the game was a track meet. It was also a tug-of-war match, with exciting bursts of alternating runs all night. Back and forth the entire game, both teams made runs, then got run, then made more runs. This was not the usual NBA game where one team jumps out to an early lead only to blow it in the fourth quarter and lose, with everything in between just dead air. Tonight there were 18 lead changes and 10 ties. Maybe it was the ball.

But in the end, the Warriors shooting abandoned them at the critical point in the game and the Griz made the final, close-out run.

With the NBA All-Star Game (the WonderCon for posses) coming up and the season kind of, sort of halfway over, it's time to take a look at your 2004-2005 Golden State Warriors. So far, it's been a thrilling season as the team has been one of the big surprises of their division, winning with an exciting up-tempo game and landing two stars on the All-Star team. Oh wait. That's the Washington Wizards, not the Golden......
