The search for 15-year-old Sierra Lamar, a sophomore at Sobrato High School, continues today. Lamar was last seen on Friday "when she left her home near the intersection of Dougherty and Palm avenues, west of Monterey Highway, according to sheriff's officials. Five teenage boys showed up at school yesterday at Live Oaks High in Morgan Hill wearing American flag t-shirts in order to express their "patriotism" on Cinco de Mayo. The school principal called them all out and told them they were going to have to turn their t-shirts inside out, calling the shirts incendiary, and concerned that they were trying to start a fight with a group of Mexican-American students. more ›

So sad. The San Leandro police department is on the hunt for one Irving "Gotti" Ramirez of Newark who is suspected of killing a SLPD officer. The officer was responding to a complaint about noisy loiterers when Ramirez and an accomplice allegedly drove up in a Thunderbird and shot him in the head. The officer, a three year veteran, leaves behind a wife and child. The car has been found, but the search for Ramirez continues. more ›
