Submit your Bay Area finds to found [at] sfist [dot] com, or tag them sfist and found on Flickr! Let us know where and when you found the item and any other helpful details. Today's find was sent to us by SFist reader/commenter Jerry Jarvis, which he found somewhere along Howard Street. Hark! The herald angels at Left in SF heeded our plea and forwarded along some pictures of last night's singalong Christmas carol protest of the Golden Gate Restaurant Association's holiday party. MuniWireless finds a great blog from author Craig Settles about questions to ask regarding TechConnect's Request for Proposals. Om Malik tips us to SixApart's affiliate program, whereby......

We promise never to attempt lame rhyming ever again. But we DID want to let you know that there's a "Creature Comforts" marathon on BBC America tonight, starting at 7:30 p.m. with the premiere of "Merry Christmas Everybody!" If you've ever seen Nick Park's Oscar-winning short "Creature Comforts," then you......

When we last left new Department of Building Inspectors Amy Lee, she had to put the big freeze on remodeling her house because "somebody" appealed her permit to build. The appeal came after she had already started so a family that was basically living in whatever parts of the house hadn't been worked on, had to continue living that way while the appeal process worked it's way through. As Beyond Chron put it: "There will be no Christmas tree at the Lee’s house this season, as there is no room." Well, Christmas is coming to Amy, her family, and Tiny Tim Lee this year because yesterday, the Board of Appeals rejected the appeal and the renovation can continue. ...

And He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise! John 2:16 [New King James] Granted, that was after he'd turned water into wine, so he might be excused for getting all tipsy on the tables of the moneychangers. Happy birthday, bro! Anyway, just another friendly reminder from SFist that giving is better than getting, which is awesome, because getting is pretty good.......
