Brian Wilson, Biz Stone, MC Hammer Claim Ed Lee is '2 Legit 2 Quit' [Video]

Here's Ashkon (of the Giants World Series/Don't Stop Believing forced-meme fame) doing MC Hammer's "2 Legit 2 Quit" with Hammer himself, Twitter co-founder/Ed Lee spammer Biz Stone and Giants Closer/Taco Bell spokesman Brian Wilson. All are endorsing controversial mayoral candidate Ed Lee. (SFist, if you recall, was the first to break the news that Wilson was also shilling for Lee.) more ›

MC Hammer Launches His Own Search Engine

MC Hammer is unhappy with his Google results, apparently. The former rapper, preacher and Cash4Gold.com spokesman added "search engine entrepreneur" to his resume yesterday when he announced his new search tool WireDoo at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. Besides having a name more outrageous than those parachute pants, WireDoo's goal it to focus on "deep search" and something he just made up called "relationship search", which will attempt to connect search terms with related topics. more ›

"Hammer worked as a clubhouse assistant for his hometown squad Oakland Athletics between 1973 and 1980 and the MLB squad will be the first baseball team to award a bobblehead doll to a rapper," notes MTV. more ›

MC Hammer's Cousin Arrested for Rape

Marvin Grant (Bigg Marv), MC Hammer's cousin, was arrested late afternoon on Thursday after a manhunt. The reality TV supporting player is accused of raping a woman he met via Twitter in Livermore. According to CBS 5's Joe Vasquez, "The woman, who is from Los Angeles, arranged to meet [Tuesday] night at a hotel in Livermore after Grant returned from a shoot in Las Vegas." The victim, after declining his advances post-suppertime, was allegedly attacked by Grant. At a press conference, Lt. Matt Sarsfield of the Livermore Police Department said, "He's about 300 pounds, and was able to pin her down and keep one of her arms down while he sexually assaulted her." MC Hammer's camp has since bailed him out of jail. more ›
