Here's the good news: there really isn't any news. Then again, who would know in the midst of the wall-to-wall Anna Nicole coverage? Oh, there was a staff shakeup and Gavin made a joke, but there really is nothing out there. No earth-shaking revelation, no new story of Gavin's lonely life living a Frank Sinatra tune, no clash with reporters. We guess that'll happen tomorrow for Fake Question Time II. That should be fun.

Irony of Ironies
We interrupt our sports coverage to give you this story. It's maybe not a local story, but we're sure it's of local interest. In fact, it's of national interest because it's just that good. And here it is: Dick Cheney's daughter, Mary, is pregnant. You know, Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter (oh wait, are we allowed to say that? When John Kerry did, he got taken to the cleaners for outing somebody who was already out). The one who has had a longtime partner that gets hidden every time Mary is out doing some sort of political thingy. Yep, she's pregnant. Dick Cheney's granddaughter is going to have two mommies.

Why Is Everybody Always Picking on Us?
We won't say the Democrats are confident right now, but we hear Nancy Pelosi is already asking her staff to refer to her only as Madame Speaker, Ms. Speaker if you're nasty. Democrats are so confident these days that Kos himself weighed in yesterday to say that everyone is getting too confident. Hell, Democrats are so confident these days that they're starting to wonder if Nancy being in charge is really such a great idea.
SFist Blotter
Whoa! A lady gave birth on the side of 101 at Bailey Avenue near San Jose early Sunday morning. The father called in to 911 at around 2:50 a.m. saying he needed an ambulance, but called back one minute later to say the baby was born fine. The ambulance came anyway, to take them to the hospital and (very impressively), CHP cleared the ensuing traffic jam in less than 30 minutes.
