Ludacris talks to the kids of Thurgood Marshall High from Get Schooled on Vimeo.

As part of MTV's Get Schooled Challenge — in which Sway and Big Von and some guest celebrities have been touring the country to get high school students to do better in school, help improve their schools, and to commit to going to college — Ludacris dropped in for a surprise appearance on Friday at Thurgood Marshall High School (near Silver Terrace and the Bayview). He said, "I just flew in from Rio de Janeiro [where he's shooting Fast and the Furious 5] to be with y'all," and then talked to the kids about the importance of education, and how studying business has helped him in managing his own career. The kids mostly just screamed, and told him to take his sunglasses off so they could take better cellphone photos of him. See some more videos of the event here. [via SF Citizen]
