Adam Jackson shot the above video that shows scores and scores of youthful types heading to Saturday's SF LovEvolution/Love Parade bash at Civic Center. We don't know how they crammed their lithe bodies into that train; in fact, we don't want to know. We just thank the Lord we weren't on this inbound train at Civic Center. Shudder.

Speaking of fuzzy hats... It's been dubbed LovEvolution this year, but it's all the same shit. Nostalgia for 90s-rave-era fashion, combined with deep house beats and nostalgia for 60s-era peace, love and body paint -- all reveled in by teenagers who are too young to remember either. Well, them and at least A DOZEN fully naked, middle-aged men who looked like they just wandered out of the dungeon they've been in since Folsom Street Fair just to get their picture taken with some kids. Seriously, guys -- half of these girls and boys are, like, twelve! Put some clothes on! We couldn't even stomach taking pics of the nudists, but here's some general sense of the day-drinking, dancing, and drugging that paraded up Market Street toward the afternoon rave at Civic Center.
San Francisco and the Bay Area are getting ready to throw a big (albeit somewhat belated) celebration for Philip Glass’ 70th birthday with concerts all over the place and, of course, the premier of Glass’ new opera Appomattox. And the kick-off is this Friday night with a very special and rare intimate recital courtesy of San Francisco Performances. Mr. Glass will be playing several of his pieces with cellist Wendy Sutter and percussionist Mick Rossi at Herbst Theater.
Guess who got endorsed on the cover by last week's winner, the Bay Guardian? Where's the green beads, Chris? Letters about fixie bikes, and Tim Redmond notes that Renee Saucedo shouldn't have endorsed Prop 90 (the overbroad eminent domain one). Dan Noyes, gadfly. Also endorsed by the Guardian: Phil Angelides, Jerry Brown, Leland Yee, Barbara Lee, and Krissy Keefer. And Steven T. Jones had nothing at all to do with their endorsement of Alix Rosenthal. Did he have anything to do with the Alix flyer inserted in the paper? Sonic Reducer brings sexy back. Marke B had a nice time at the Love Parade. L.E. Leone's friend Carrie is moving to New York. And Gavin Newsom's horoscope: He is classically associated with the arts.
Admit it, the weather has been outstanding. No one can claim our high-rentian bargain of getting spectacular September weather has not been delivered in full. The beaches, parks, trails and sidewalks are the place to be weekend after weekend this month. The Love Parade was lovely and the Folsom Street Fair was crotchless chapirific. Some nights has even been warm enough to remove the long sleeves and leave the windows open overnight while the mornings have been great for swimmers, surfers, runners and sleeper-inners.
--Another successful Folsom Street Fair!
Naughtier yvesdroppings after the jump.

Man, it was a busy weekend -- anti-war protests, the Love Parade, the Folsom Street Fair -- and not to mention Webzine 2005 and the ragingly hot SFist/Webzine kickoff party. Thanks for stopping by, Webziners!
...or maybe you stayed in and reviewed your options for the new TV season. There's always some baseball or football on too, along with more Sex In The City than you can shake a pair of $100 shoes at. That is, if your TiVo's still working!
Other things we learned -- did you know you can detonate a bomb using a cell phone? Do you tip the cabby less than $2? (What if the fare's $8.50 and all you have is a ten?) Was that thunder we heard the other day? Is that Ross Mirkarimi giving you mouth-to-mouth?
Phew! We're exhausted! Peel us a grape!

SFist Agitates! (And no, not just from our use of the first person plural.) What causes can you promote this weekend? On Saturday alone, you've got two sets of well-paired options.
Make Love, Not War: On Saturday, over 20,000 people are expected in town for the anti-war march. The march starts at noon from Dolores Park, goes up to Civic Center, and then ends at Jefferson Square Park on Eddy Street between Gough and Laguna around 5. However, complicating things, the ravers' Love Parade is happening at the same time -- and also marching from downtown to the Civic Center! Exciting cultural clashes are sure to ensue -- will the black box anarchists learn to put aside the flaming mattress in favor of the love and unity that is rave?
Fat!So?: But wait! That's not all that's going on on Saturday! The Society of Bariatric Surgeons (stomach staplers) are having a Walk From Obesity through Crissy Field. Won't those surgeons be either upset (or start making stapling motions with their fingers in a Pavlovian response) when they see that Marilyn Wann from the National Association to Advance of Fat Acceptance is crashing their walk with a "Fat Fun In The Sun" protest ! People of size should show up at Crissy Field Saturday morning from 9:30-11; outdoor activity frolicking is planned.
Weekly recap.
Get out your stilts, pacifiers, and funny hats -- this Saturday brings the U.S. debut of Berlin's LoveParade. The LoveParade is an electronic music festival, where over 200 DJs will be spinning dance music throughout the streets of SoMa.
