It seems that they hate black people. No, not really. We're just screwing with you, <a href="http://sanfrancisco.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/stories/2006/07/10/story12.html?jst=s_cn_hl">attorney Stephens</a>. To be fair, the building's owner, Sutter Taylor, already planned on converting the building into high-end condominiums. But then the Academy came along to gobble up the property for student housing. And then? People had a fit.</p>

<p>And as the following AAU press release informs us:</p>

<blockquote>"The conflict between the Lorraine Hansberry Theater, its building owner and the University has been resolved.  Although the settlement is confidential, we have agreed to the following joint statement, which will be the only public announcement made on the matter.

<p>At the request of the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor, the Academy of Art University has made a substantial grant to assist with the relocation of the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre.</p>
