Blogging service LiveJournal.com, formerly owned by San Francisco-based SixApart up until December 2007 and now owned by Russian-based media company SUP (with its USA-based LiveJournal, Inc. offices located here at 576 Folsom St.), is currently holding its first annual User Representative Election for a seat on the LiveJournal Advisory Board. The duties include traveling to Istanbul once a year (free vacation!) for an in-person meeting with other Board members along with quarterly conference calls and other business.

By now the tale of Jameth and his croc is San Francisco lore. Happening upon the severed plastic head of the reptilian creature at Church & Market, Jameth took pity upon the thing and made it a part of his daily life, making the wee thing a star in the process. As SFist reported yesterday, the croc was set free in Dolores Park, presumably never to be heard from again. Many weeped, a few cried, and someone even made a tribute video in her honor.

Is anyone else's power going out every five to ten minutes today? Annoying. So far we have reports from One Market, Harrison/Fourth Street, UCSF Mission/Bay, parts of the Financial District -- the general downtown/SOMA area. What's more, we (and, most likely, you) have already lost several documents. Jesus Christ, make it stop.
