Check out the parade live at 10 a.m. this morning over SFPrideLive.com, hosted by alleged celebrities Jai Rodriguez, Michelle Meow and Sebastian Kunz.. (An aside:? Where the fuck are Jan Wahl and Donna Sachet? It's not a LGBTTQGLGQ Pride parade without Jan and the Castro district's tranny of note. This is bullshit.) You can also watch it live on Comcast channel 99 starting at 10:30 a.m. Who knows? Coverage might just border on 'almost interesting.' Oh, and also be sure to send SFist your Pride pics. Usually, we don't feature arena concerts, but Wednesday night's concert featuring Mute Math, Alanis Morissette and Matchbox Twenty, is well worth it and is something to talk about. First off, who ever decided that those three bands ever belonged together? Strange enough, we kinda think it works (in an extremely 90's kind of way). With the arena setting, hopefully Mute Math will finally get the extra push to become a household name. Their concerts are continually called "amazing" and Alternative Press named them as the "#1 Band You Need to See Live Before You Die”. (What a title!) We think it's slightly awesome that Alanis Morissette is touring even though she hasn't had a record release since 2005. Her upcoming seventh studio album, Flavors of Entanglement is being released on May 20, 2008. It is being produced by one of our music heroes, Guy Sigsworth. The evening is headlined by Matchbox Twenty. We assume that their set list will be quite similar to their latest album, Exile on Mainstream. It featured six new songs and eleven greatest hits - sounds like a perfect set list to us.

If you're like us you spend every Friday afternoon glued to DJ Ted Leibowitz and the Bagel Radio Friday Live Show. If you aren't like us, you should be - it's the best rock radio show around. Ted has been a huge part of the indie rock world here in San Francisco for quite some time, he's a friend of SFist, and his wonderful Web radio show has been a huge boost to any number of local up-and-coming acts (we're thinking right now of Birdmonster and the Heavenly States, but the list could go on for quite some time). Ted is the DJ that we wish was on commercial radio - the guy who not only knows everything about music, but has a deep and abiding love for San Francisco music. Heck, he even got married at the Great American Music Hall.

Sketchfest continues

• RiffTrax Live at the Castro - . Eeee! Like, we could just die! (Part of SF Sketchfest.) Starts at 9 p.m. at the Castro Theatre.
• Your Macworld Expo Parties: It's winding down, kids. Partake in the Macworld festivities while you can.
• Ships in the Night: San Francisco's jankiest and most awesome bar--of the homosexual persuasion, anyway--is having one of the city's jankiest and most awesome! DJs L'il Manila, Durt, and Vroom pump out all of your favorite dance floor classics this evening. What's more, your admission fee goes to pro-abortion group, Bay Area Coalition for Our Reproductive Rights. Woo hoo! The drinking and dancing starts at 10 p.m. at the Gang Way; $3-5.

• The Sound of Young America Live: Live public radio featuring Jesse Thorn, Morgan Murphy, Merlin Mann, Danny Hoch, and Bucky Sinister perform le stand-up hot. Zach Rogue (of Rogue Wave) provides the music. It's indie rock and comedy all rolled into one. Ta-da! Oh, and it's part of SF Sketchfest, so you know it's good. Show starts at 8 p.m. at the Eureka Theatre; $10.
• BiFriendly Social: A bisexual coffee klatch for men and women who lean on both sides of the fence. (No, not for you alterafag Manhunter subscribers who claim bisexuality only in effort to entice seemingly straight men, but for authentic bi guys. Wherever they may be.) No set topic, just an old-fashion chat with strangers all juiced up on caffeine. Or whatever. Anyway, it goes from 7:30 p.m.- 10 p.m. at Church Street Cafe (formerly Muddy Waters); free.
• Tonight's Macworld Expo Afterparties: Leave the goatees in the bathroom sink. Please.

Twenty-four of the world's most bitchin-ass surfers are on their way to Half Moon bay for a dangerous showdown at this year's 2008 Mavericks Surf Contest. Shore stars like Shawn Rhodes, Greg Long (San Clemente FTW), Brock Little, Randy Cone, Santa Cruz's Tyler Smith, and more will take part in tomorrow's dangerous and exhilarating surf contest. The cold waters of Half Moon Bay combined with the Pacific storm winter weather make some of "the most dangerous waves in the world." This battle of the sea is not to be missed. Dude.

Moby must be sick with envy over this one. Tonight the "unconventional young network," Emmy Award-winning Current TV, will air a taped, private, hour-long Radiohead concert on New Year's Eve (and on New Year's day on broadcast Current TV.) Thom Yorke and his merry band of croonies will perform each track off of their top-listed 2007 effort, In Rainbows.

Attention conspiracy buffs: There's a secret project underway to seize control all of San Francisco's traffic lights, just like how the terrorists did in . Well, okay, the civic initiative (called "SFgo") isn't TECHNICALLY a secret; while it's true that nobody talks about it and current information is hard to come by, that's just because the project is really really boring. But here's something to spice it up: President Bush just gave it a half million bucks in the FY2008 Omnibus Appropriations. (Along with $12 million for the next phase of the Third Street line, and the impending Central Subway disaster.)

Aaron Axelsen has been a major force in promoting local independent music with San Francisco's indie-dance party, Popscene and his Sunday night radio show on Live 105. (You can listen from 7-10pm. Check out what he plays, here.) We wanted to feature his top ten albums of the year to find out what he thinks rocked 2007. Here's the list:

As the winners of Live 105's Local Band competition, Maldroid will be opening for Modest Mouse, Jimmy Eat World, Angels & Airwaves, Spoon, and Paramore tomorrow night at the "Not So Silent Night" bash at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Maldroid's sound is a mix between The Beatles and The Hives. The results are in: Maldroid is currently the best local band in San Francisco according to Live 105's local band competition. They will be opening for Spoon, Angels & Airwaves, Paramore, Jimmy Eat World and Modest Mouse. According to Ryan Devine's blog (the lead singer), "[It] sucks that Paramore and Angels & Airwaves have to embarrass themselves after us. Looking forward to Modest Mouse and Spoon though!" Well, well, well... someone's shit doesn't stink....
