A Quick Morning Review of Lady Gaga at the Oracle Arena
Sadly, because we're crowd-phobic, we can't give you a first-person account of the Gaga's big enormous spectacle and gay love-in at Oracle Arena last night. But according to the East Bay Express: "It was pretty chill... PSYCH! It was fucking bananas. We're talking at least eight costume changes; fire, sparklers, smoke, and countless other pyrotechnics (literal and figurative); a small army of muscular, appropriately freaky-looking backup dancers and an audience of 15,000 or so little monsters hanging on to every moment...
Lagy Gaga Arrives In S.F. To Hawk Google Moderator
Lady Gaga, archenemy of thirtysomethings and elderly gay brethren across the land, was in town for her show at Oracle Arena tonight. Also, she made a pitstop at Google today to chat with Marissa Mayer and hawk Google Moderator, "a tool that allows distributed communities to submit and vote on questions for talks, presentations and events."
Lady Gaga's Rosamunde Story Continues
You know how Lady Gaga was spotted at Rosamunde last week in the Mission? Well, Mission Mission got right to the bottom of what happened, exactly. Well, Gaga, it seems, ordered some wine, asked for the correct spelling of "diarrhea," requested an employee to design her necklace for next week's MTV Music Awards, El Farolito, an invitation to Waterbar, and more. Check it out.
Lady Gaga Visits Rosamunde Sausages
Over in the Mission, a little known entertainer named Lady Gaga visited Rosamunde where she enjoyed some of their signature meat. Mission Mission has more:
Afternoon Palate Cleanser: Musical Protest Style
A flashmob of (mostly) ladies descended on the Westin St. Francis over the weekend to call attention to the boycott of the hotel. The protesters were all of the LGBTQ community, and we're not clear on the connection here except that, in this case, the LGBTQs of SleepWithTheRightPeople.org come out on the side of hospitality workers' rights, and the group saw workers' demands for health care and a fair contract as a good excuse to write and perform a Lady Gaga parody song ("Don't Get Caught in a Bad Hotel"). Most of the tourists, especially the kids, seemed just to appreciate the free, in-house entertainment. Three cheers for guerrilla theater. [thanks, Olen]

Though she performed at Mezzanine earlier this year, as well as 715 Harrison in 2008, pop art fans, neo-club kids, and creative types reacted like the second coming of Christ came to San Francisco. Why? Because Lady Gaga graced us with her bizarre presence on Sunday and Monday. And what a show it was. Or at least that's what fans on Twitter and Facebook reported, who, for those us us who couldn't score a ticket, kept us abreast on all the action. (Alas, your editor was stuck at home working and watching Intervention and [an unusually boring] Hoarders.)
Lady Gaga Drops In On SF Bar for Surprise Pre-Show?
Possibly as a small thank you to the gay community who helped give her a leg up in '08 while she was still touring around in semi-obscurity, Lady Gaga allegedly dropped in on venerable gay oldster bar Twin Peaks last night to perform a couple of songs, in advance of her sold-out two-night engagement at Bill Graham Auditorium starting tonight. We're not sure why the lady, or her handlers, chose Twin Peaks -- and we're fairly certain that much of the clientele was confused as to who this strange young lady was with the long bangs and kooky fashion sense, and why was she interrupting their martini time? Any confirmation and/or photos of this appearance in the Castro would be much appreciated.
Lady Gaga Tickets On Sale This Saturday
Hmm. We're not sure where most of you stand on Lady Gaga. Many of you claim to loathe her, some of you secretly love her. Why, it was just a few months ago in March that she was performing at Mezzanine and 715 Harrison. Now she's canceling her tour with Kanye West, wearing bubbles, and hanging out with Madonna.
