Over the twitwires we spotted this mention of Jude Law this a.m., from a patron of the Sports Club L.A. at the Four Seasons: "Ran into Jude Law at the club (the guy's a star!) & think I managed to say something sensible." Could Jude be staying at the Four Seasons? Not that we want to encourage stalking, but, that was a pre-9 a.m. sighting.

Contagion to Shoot Wednesday at Candlestick
Hollywood comes to visit for such brief, fleeting moments, right? Well, all the Twitterers atwitter about Jude Law being in town will come to an abrupt halt later this week as director Steven Soderbergh and his crew (and about 1,000 extras) wrap up shooting of Contagion. They'll do their biggest location shoot on Wednesday at Candlestick Park, amidst the rain, we suppose. NBC reports that the film paid $60K to use the stadium, and that it will be serving as a vaccination center in the film, filled with military vehicles, tents and such.
Be an Extra in a Movie Starring Jude Law! (and Matt Damon.)
Hollywood is coming to town again, with director Steven Soderbergh descending next month to shoot Contagion, an action-thriller starring Jude Law(!) involving disease and the CDC that's being shot in San Francisco. It also stars Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marion Cotillard and Matt Damon (wtvr), and they're having an open casting call on January 29th and 30th for PAID extra work in the movie. See further details below, but know that you'll need to be available for shooting between February 9 and February 19, which is when the crew will be here on location. And how funny, it's a Talented Mr. Ripley reunion!
SFist Goes to the Movies
If last week was a downer in terms of new movies, this weekend is definitely not. Basically, this is start of the big run of movies for Christmas/Oscar season so we'll start seeing the big, serious movies. Good thing it's going to rain.
Get Your Fro Busted
Could even bloggers be beautiful? SFist doesn't look like Jude Law or Keira Knightley, but that doesn't mean we're not willing to spend exorbitant amounts of money trying. Okay, maybe there isn't enough money at Microsoft to afford a make-over THAT extensive, but one easy way to improve upon whatever the good lord gave you is a quality haircut.
