We were a tad disappointed when our only celebrity pregnant buddy turned out to be boring old Jessica Alba. Perhaps we were a bit too capricious in our disappointment, since news broke earlier today that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears, sister to Britney Spears, is 12-weeks pregnant. There are so many snarky things we could say about the Zoey 101 star, but we didn't want to ruin the fun for all our clever readers. Okay......go!......

Hey, wanna see The Ten? No, not the LA freeway, a movie of ten short films illustrating each of the Ten Commandments, featuring such of-the-moment actors as Jessica Alba, Paul Rudd (yay!), Adam Brody (pictured above; we have no idea what commandment it illustrates but the picture's funny), and The Daily Show's Rob Corddry, among many, many others, and directed by the guy who directed Wet Hot American Summer. Well, you can if you......

Warrior Nation, can it get any better? Seriously. After Golden State's tenacious, gutty, and spirited come-from-behind 103-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night in the O-rena, the Warriors have taken a 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven series. After 13 years of waiting, nobody in the NBA is more jacked up than the Warriors and their long-suffering fans.

The season has gone from just another shit sandwich to a gravy train with biscuit wheels in little more than a month. From nine games below .500 to .500. Not just a .500 record, but playoffs. Not just playoffs, but most favorable matchup. Not just favorable matchup, but a game one victory to take home court advantage in the series and set the basketball world abuzz.

To get you psyched for tonight's game, here's some news on the Warriors front: -Here are Ten Reasons why you should jump on the Warriors bandwagon. -Baron Davis is the happiest guy alive. -The Betting Fool tells everyone to calm the f---- down. -Is this series a grudge match between Nellie and Cuban? Or are they one, but not the same? -Will the Mavs continue to go small or give it to Nowitzky? -Nellie, with......

So the Raiders hired somebody, baby-faced Lane Kiffin, a 31-year old coach with no head coaching experience. Nice. When we were 31, we could barely hold down a job, let alone coach a professional football team. Football Chris will give the analysis in a bit, but we heard Al was so into the idea of hiring somebody young that he posted a job listing in the local college paper. Have fun, Raiders fans. -The new......

We were taking down the Festivus Pole last night and dejectedly wondering to whom we could regift the Big Mouth Billy Bass singing fish contraption that weird Uncle Mannie gave us this year, when it occurred to us that it might be interesting to look at how the War-toes fared this holiday season.<...

Oakland-based “global web property” Ask.com announced late last week that they’re phasing out the Jeeves persona that was beloved by some. Their reasoning was “user confusion,” in that bewildered users mistook the foppish cartoon for a real live British butler responding to their web queries, and would become flummoxed at having to type out complete questions instead of just keywords like “kittens” and “naughty college girls.” We in the SFist labs can’t say we’re......

SFist has done their fair share of snarking on the Warriors in the past and feels kind of bad about it. It was just too darn easy, kicking that dog when they were down. But things have changed since then. The Warriors are h-o-t hot right now, hotter than leather chaps-wearing Jessica Alba dancing on a stripper pole. Well, not that hot, but you get our drift. Last night, the Warriors beat the Seattle SuperSonics 101-92 to win their fifth in a row, their longest winning streak of the year. And that's Seattle, as in Division Winning, possible title contending Seattle. Of course, as Ray Ratto pointed out, we've been here before and we're still talking about a team that's once more going to go to David Stern's little game show he likes to call the NBA Lottery Draft, but something feels different this time around. We are, after all, talking about a team that was well out of it months ago but is suddenly playing with a fire, passion, and energy usually not seen in these here parts....
