Everyone knows the Saturday of Pride Weekend is the Dyke March! Put on your motorcycle helmet and take off your top. The theme this year (for the 15th anniversary) is "Healthcare for All," so there's going to be a mammogram truck on site, as well as the usual diverse array of religions, performers, and peoples. The rally and stage show starts at 3 at Dolores Park; the women go marching at 7.
SFist Today
Hey Kids, Let's Put Up a Web Site
SFist Editor Emeritus Cheshire tipped us off to a site he helped put together that helps you make your own jukebox label. It's pretty cool, actually, in the same way those Church Generator Signs things are cool. So, inspired, we made up our dream jukebox selection, which you can see to your right. Man, we loved Creed back in the day.
Impact Briefs 7: The How-To Show
Last weekend, we hit the East Bay to witness SFist Cheshire's on-stage debut in Impact Theater's . There we sat in the basement of La Val's Subterranean (1834 Euclid in Berkeley) drinking our beer and wondering what the heck we'd write if we totally hated the show. Have You Heard The One About Incompatibility of Military Heroism & Love?
Skyler Cooper is one of the most beautiful women in the Bay Area. SFist has been vacillating between envy and infatuation since we saw her in the title role of Impact Theatre's (Full disclosure: A SFist staffer is deeply involved with Impact Theater) . How can someone who looks that good be so talented? It's enough to incite us to go to the Castro Gold's Gym, (where she works as a personal trainer) and beg her to teach us to walk in her footsteps, until we remember that there's probably hard work involved, and we're just not into that.
