What is this, Los Angeles in the 80s? A man driving in his Prius around 4:30 a.m. on I-80 near the 580 split at around Golden Gate Fields in Albany, was shot at a whole bunch of times by someone in an "older white vehicle." The man was too in shock to identify anything more about the shooter or his vehicle, and while he was only shot in the leg, his car has half a dozen bullet holes in it. He drove, still in shock, all the way home to Richmond, pulled into his driveway and called his brother, who then called Richmond police.

Kristian Valmadrid, a 29-year-old Roseville man, according to CBS 5, walked into the path of a big-rig on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 Wednesday morning, just south of the Carquinez Bridge," resulting in his immediate death. The incident happened a little after midnight this morning. CHP officers, who pulled over to check out a "green Toyota 4Runner parked on the right shoulder of eastbound Highway 80 near Pomona Street," spotted the man who quickly and fatally darted off into traffic. No word yet as to whether it was a suicide or bizarre accident.

A disrobed lady disrupted traffic this morning on I-80 at around 5:45 a.m. It seems that the fully naked female was running in and out of traffic willy-nilly on the busy freeway, requiring the CHP and Berkeley police and fire department to bring her down. She was finally taken into custody after jiggling over to the stables at Golden Gate Fields. She has been sent to a local hospital for a medical (and presumably mental) check.
