We mentioned on Friday that Big Sur is basically cut off after a section of Highway 1 disappeared on March 16 and then another landslide blocked access to Highway 46. But were you aware that Highway 1 is also down to one lane in Marin as well, near mile marker 4.80, and a slide in Sonoma County closed part of the route over the weekend too? As the Chron's reporting, "While [Caltrans is] at work [repairing the road in Marin], until about 5 p.m. daily through at least Wednesday, a pilot car will lead drivers through the area."
