SFist Tonight
Apple and Flickr are Giving Each Other a Massage
And now for a sentence that, to non-geeks, may sound like gibberish: Check upcoming.org for info on next week's Flickr meetup at the Apple store. The lovely and talented Flickr team (including SFist-friend Heather Champ and some local photofolks) will be hanging around, showing off the site, chatting, and counting down the minutes until they can all adjourn to 111 Minna for drinks. It's a perfect opportunity for some IRL contact with everyone's fave photo-sharing site, while also bathing yourself in the soft glow of computoys you don't need, can't afford, and desperately want.
SFist Has Sold Out
We have to be transparent about such things, so we'd just like to let our readers know that SFist has been purchased by SF Metblogs, who in turn have been purchased by Yahoo. What does this mean to you? Absolutely nothing. We'll still bring you the eight to ten or more posts everyday on issues that are important to folks in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Creative Commonists
It's good to be a nerd. At least that's how SFist feels after hanging out at the Swedish American Hall, taking full advantage of the open bar, nodding our head to the DJ's beats, nibbling on tidbits from the trays of finger food and stuffing our bag with schwag at the Creative Commons party last night. Intellectual property lawyers sure know how to party!
This Week in SFist
Weekly wrap-up.
Bay Blogger Thursday
(next one is September 25, so RSVP now!), and we hope she won't feel compelled to get a restraining order if we take things a step further and feature her site for this week's Bay Blogger Thursday.
Photobloggers Unite
EssEffist was invited to a gathering of Bay Area Photobloggers recently, and wanted to let other shutterbugs know that if they want to trade tips or just learn more about photoblogging in general, they should mark their calendar for this Saturday. Hosted by Derek Powazek and Heather Champ, photobloggers extraordinaire, it's being held at the Reverie Cafe in the Haight.
