After four weeks of Barry Bonds' perjury trial, the Jury has reached a verdict on one of the four charges facing the record holding homerun slugger. According to KTVU news by way of the Appeal, after some confusion in the courtroom, Bonds has been declared guilty on the charge of obstruction of justice. On the other three counts of False Declaration to a Grand Jury, the jury was unable to reach a verdict and the judge is declaring a mistrial.

I'm Guilty, Says Cosco Busan Pilot
Captain John Cota, who helped steer the Cosco Busan into the Oakland Bay Bridge, causing tons of gunk to spill into the San Francisco Bay, pleaded 'guilty' today to two environmental crimes: oil spilling and bird killing. According to AP, Cota could spend up to 10 months in prison. AP goes on to report that "The National Transportation Safety Board said last month that Cota's prescription medications impaired his performance, but it also blamed other factors for the crash including a poorly trained crew." Cota was officially charged last May.
O.J. Simpson Gets 15 Years In Prison
OJ Simpson, the former football great who murdered former Dana Hills High School homecoming queen Nicole Brown Simpson and her pal Ronald Goldman, was sentenced to 15 years in prison today. His sentence, technically, stems from a recent Las Vegas hotel armed robbery and kidnapping.
