Friday! The night before the night when no one watches television!
SFist Watches: Friday's Fall TV Premieres
SFist Watches: TV Tonight
It's Tuesday, so what better night to premiere a show called "Friday Night Lights"? Yeah, we think it's a pretty boneheaded move on NBC's part, but the networks seem terrified to schedule anything of real quality on Friday nights because they think people don't watch TV on Friday nights. Have they ever considered the notion that people don't watch as much TV on Friday nights because there isn't anything GOOD ON? "The Ghost Whisperer"? Come on! (Of course, that will change slightly this Friday with the premiere of "Battlestar Gallactica." But we'll talk more about that later.)
SFist Watches: TV Tonight
Fridays have become a TV wasteland for us. We can't bear to watch one second of "Ghost Whisperer," and we gave the premiere of "The Book of Daniel" a watch, and were totally insulted by it. Not by its "blasphemous" presentation of Christianity, but by its pathetic attempts at quirkiness and humor. It was forced, obvious, and ultimately, dull.
SFist Watches: TV This Week - Part Five!
Welcome to the fifth and final edition of this week's SFist Watches TV This Week extravaganza! We can hardly believe how quickly the week has gone, nor how many shows we've watched. And thank God it's Friday, because that means our viewing choices are, thanfully, a lot slimmer than they were last night.
